Dissertation/Thesis editing
Includes comments on each section, guiding questions, formatting, and grammar. Paid in installments: deposit, midpoint submission of feedback, after final conversation. Two synchronous online consults are included to go through notes provided, midpoint in hours and one at the end of the reading.
workshops for social/organizational change
Workshops are aligned to the organizational goals and vision and generally focus on developing a deeper understanding of self in relationship to community. We work collaboratively on professional development in order to support our growing strength as a nurturing and brave community. Texts (that emphasize writers and scholars from historically marginalized groups), intensive discussion, and discipline aligned activities are included. Recent topics have included media content creation, narrative medicine, and ancestral recovery through archival research for individual healing.
CREATIVE PRACTICE WORKSHOPS
Workshops can emphasize generative writing, reading and analysis, poetic form, radical publishing, the power of performance, writing as political work, or another area as determined. All workshops include a classroom agreements setting process to support the development of a brave space where we can be vulnerable with and for one another. Readings (that emphasize writers from historically marginalized groups) and generative writing prompts are included. Workshops are aligned to Common Core State Standards.
